เจนเนอราลี่ – UNDP เปิดโครงการ “UNDP- Generali Innovation Challenge” ลุยหนุน MSME ไทย สร้างนวัตกรรมยกระดับความยืดหยุ่น




เจนเนอราลี่ ร่วมกับโครงการพัฒนาแห่งสหประชาชาติ (UNDP) ประกาศเปิดตัวการแข่งขัน Innovation Challenge หรือนวัตกรรมประกันภัย เพื่อเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งให้กับผู้ประกอบการขนาดกลาง ขนาดย่อม และรายย่อย (MSMEs) ในประเทศไทย โดยการค้นหานวัตกรรมด้านการประกันภัย รวมถึงสนับสนุน และยกระดับเครื่องมือและโครงการด้านประกันชีวิตและประกันสุขภาพที่มีอยู่เดิม เพื่อให้เกิดผลลัพธ์ที่ยั่งยืนในระดับโครงสร้าง เสริมกรอบการคุ้มครองทางสังคม (Social Protection Framework) เพิ่มเสถียรภาพทางเศรษฐกิจ ลดความเปราะบาง และจัดให้มีโครงข่ายความปลอดภัยที่สำคัญสำหรับแรงงานในภาค MSMEs ของไทย โดยเปิดรับสมัครตั้งแต่วันนี้ 30 กันยายน 2568 และจะประกาศสองนวัตกรรมที่เข้ารอบชิงชนะเลิศในเดือนพฤศจิกายน เพื่อชิงเงินรางวัลมูลค่าสูงสุดถึง 40,000 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐ (หรือ 1,297,600 บาท โดยประมาณ)

กลุ่มวิสาหกิจขนาดกลาง ขนาดย่อม และรายย่อย (MSMEs) ถือเป็นกระดูกสันหลังของเศรษฐกิจในภูมิภาคอาเซียน สำหรับประเทศไทย กลุ่ม MSMEs มีบทบาทในการสร้าง GDP มากกว่า 35% และมีสัดส่วนการจ้างงานมากกว่า 70%1 ของแรงงานทั้งหมด ซึ่งปัจจุบันกำลังเผชิญกับแรงกดดันที่เพิ่มขึ้นจากความเสี่ยงและความผันผวนของตลาดโลก

แม้ว่าประเทศไทยจะมีความก้าวหน้าอย่างมากในการบรรลุหลักประกันสุขภาพถ้วนหน้า แต่แรงงานในภาค MSMEs จำนวนมากยังไม่ได้รับความคุ้มครองหรืออยู่ในระบบประกันสังคม และมีความเสี่ยงต่อผลกระทบทางการเงินจากค่าใช้จ่ายทางการแพทย์ การเข้าถึงบริการสุขภาพและการคุ้มครองทางการเงินที่จำกัดอาจนำไปสู่การขาดงานที่เพิ่มขึ้น รวมถึงประสิทธิภาพการทำงานที่ลดลง และความไม่มั่นคงทางเศรษฐกิจทั้งต่อแรงงานและต่อผู้ประกอบการ MSMEs ที่จ้างงานพวกเขา

เพื่อตอบโจทย์ความท้าทายเหล่านี้ UNDP และ Generali จึงร่วมกันผลักดันการพัฒนาแนวทางนวัตกรรมเพื่อเสริมสร้างภูมิคุ้มกันทางการเงินให้กับภาค MSMEs ในโครงการ UNDP–Generali Innovation Challenge โดยเฉพาะการขยายความครอบคลุมของประกันสุขภาพและประกันชีวิต และการมีส่วนร่วมในการเสริมสร้างระบบคุ้มครองทางสังคมของประเทศไทย ทั้งยังสนับสนุนการจัดตั้งกลไกใหม่ด้านการประกันภัยและการบริหารความเสี่ยง ควบคู่กับการยกระดับเครื่องมือและโครงการที่มีอยู่เดิม เพื่อให้เกิดผลลัพธ์ที่ยั่งยืนในระดับโครงสร้าง


นายโรแบร์โต้ ลีโอนาดี้ Generali Asia Regional Officer กล่าวว่า "หลังจากประสบความสำเร็จในการดำเนินโครงการที่ประเทศมาเลเซีย เป็นเรื่องน่ายินดีอย่างยิ่งที่โครงการ UNDP–Generali Innovation Challenge ได้ขยายมาสู่ประเทศไทย การส่งเสริมความแข็งแกร่งให้กับกลุ่ม MSMEs ถือเป็นหนึ่งในพันธกิจสำคัญของเจนเนอราลี่ในภูมิภาคเอเชีย รวมถึงประเทศไทย โดยโครงการนี้ได้วางนวัตกรรมเป็นหัวใจสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างความแข็งแกร่งให้แก่ภาคธุรกิจ สิ่งสำคัญคือ แนวทางแก้ไขต้องสะท้อนประสบการณ์ของผู้ประกอบการ MSMEs ในประเทศไทย และได้รับการออกแบบโดยคำนึงถึงบริบทของท้องถิ่นอย่างแท้จริง ความร่วมมือกับทาง UNDP ในครั้งนี้จะช่วยสร้างผลกระทบเชิงบวกแก่แรงงานและภาคธุรกิจ MSMEs และตอบสนองต่อความต้องการของพวกเขาในโลกที่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว"

UNDP and Generali launch Insurance Innovation Challenge to build MSME resilience in Thailand


Bangkok and Milan, 18 August 2025 – Generali and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have announced an Insurance Innovation Challenge to strengthen the resilience of Thailand’s micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). MSMEs contribute over 35% of the country’s GDP and employ more than 70% of its workforce but are under increasing strain from global risks and market volatility.


Despite significant progress in achieving universal health coverage in Thailand, many MSME workers remain excluded from social security schemes and are vulnerable to financial hardship due to rising medical expenses. Limited access to healthcare and financial protection can lead to increased absenteeism, reduced productivity, and economic insecurity for both workers and the MSME’s that employ them.


To address these challenges, the UNDP-Generali Insurance Innovation Challenge in Thailand aims to identify and support inclusive, localized insurance solutions to build the resilience of MSMEs, improve the lives of MSME workers and reinforce Thailand’s broader social protection framework.

MSME resilience is a critical issue around the Asia region, and certainly in Thailand, and this initiative puts innovation at the heart of our efforts to boost resilience. By identifying, supporting and expanding existing life and health insurance solutions, the UNDP – Generali Insurance Innovation Challenge will contribute to Thailand’s social protection framework, strengthen economic stability, reduce vulnerabilities and provide a critical safety net for MSMEs and their employees in the country. Applications will close on September 30th 2025 and the two winning solutions will be announced in November with an award of up to US$40,000 (approx. THB 1,297,600).
