นายสาระ ล่ำซำ กรรมการผู้จัดการและประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท เมืองไทยประกันชีวิต จำกัด (มหาชน) กล่าวว่า “เพื่อเป็นการเตรียมความพร้อมสำหรับการรับมือกับโลกอนาคต ซึ่งปัจจัยแวดล้อมจะมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว บริษัทฯ จึงได้เตรียมความพร้อมด้านเทคโนโลยีให้มีความทันสมัย และสอดรับกับโลกยุคใหม่ เพื่อสร้างความแข็งแกร่งแก่ธุรกิจให้สามารถเติบโตได้อย่างมั่นคงและยั่งยืน” รวมถึงการเตรียมความพร้อมเพื่อรองรับมาตรฐานการรายงานทางการเงิน ฉบับที่ 9 เครื่องมือทางการเงิน (IFRS 9) และมาตรฐานการรายงานทางการเงิน ฉบับที่ 17 สัญญาประกันภัย (IFRS 17) ที่จะเกิดขึ้นในอีกไม่ช้า
ล่าสุด เมืองไทยประกันชีวิต ได้ร่วมมือกับ ออราเคิล ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทชั้นนำด้านเทคโนโลยีคลาวด์โซลูชั่นที่ทันสมัยและใช้งานในระดับองค์กร พัฒนาและยกระดับเทคโนโลยีให้พร้อมรับโลกยุคดิจิทัล ด้วยการเลือกใช้ Oracle ERP Cloud และ Oracle EPM Cloud ที่จะมาช่วยสนับสนุนให้องค์กรสามารถขับเคลื่อนธุรกิจได้อย่างคล่องตัวและมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้น

โดยการพัฒนาระบบในครั้งนี้ยังรวมถึงการพัฒนาเครื่องมือสำหรับการวางแผนและเครื่องมือในการบริหารจัดการทางการเงินซึ่งเป็นอีกหนึ่งกลยุทธ์ที่บริษัทให้ความสำคัญ เพื่อให้บริการลูกค้าได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและปลอดภัย รวมถึงการบริหารต้นทุนในการดำเนินการได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพยิ่งขึ้น และเพิ่มความคล่องตัว ซึ่งจะช่วยเพิ่มศักยภาพในการแข่งขันท่ามกลางสภาพแวดล้อมทางธุรกิจที่ท้าทาย รองรับการเติบโตและการแข่งขันทั้งในปัจจุบันและอนาคตได้เป็นอย่างดี” นายสาระ กล่าว
จากรายงาน Magic Quadrant for Cloud Core Financial Management Suites for Midsize, Large and Global Enterprises ประจำปี 2561 ของการ์ทเนอร์ ระบุว่า ออราเคิล (Oracle ERP Cloud) เป็นผู้นำในกลุ่มนี้ อ้างอิงตามเกณฑ์ต่างๆ เช่น ความครอบคลุมและความสามารถของฟังก์ชั่นการทำงานของโซลูชั่น รวมถึงการที่โซลูชั่นนี้มีระบบวิเคราะห์และระบบการรายงานพร้อมใช้งาน
