- การเข้าซื้อโรงไฟฟ้าในครั้งนี้แสดงชัดถึงความมุ่งมั่นในการดำเนินธุรกิจของบ้านปูฯ ในประเทศเวียดนาม จากที่บริษัทฯ มีโครงการโรงไฟฟ้าพลังงานลมซ็อกจัง (Soc Trang) ซึ่งอยู่ในระหว่างการพัฒนา บ้านปูฯ ทำสัญญาครอบคลุมการบำรุงรักษาระยะเวลา 20 ปี กับบริษัท Enercon GmbH บริษัทผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการผลิตไฟฟ้าพลังงานลมและผู้ผลิตกังหันลมจากประเทศเยอรมนี โรงไฟฟ้าพลังงานลม El Wind Mui Dinh จะช่วยเพิ่มรายได้และกระแสเงินสดจากพลังงานหมุนเวียนให้บ้านปูฯ
3 สิงหาคม 2563 – บริษัท บ้านปู จำกัด (มหาชน) ผู้นำธุรกิจด้านพลังงานแบบครบวงจรแห่งภูมิภาคเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก เข้าซื้อ โรงไฟฟ้าพลังงานลม El Wind Mui Dinh โดยการซื้อโรงไฟฟ้าพลังงานลมที่เปิดดำเนินการแล้วในครั้งนี้นับเป็นอีกก้าวที่ตอกย้ำความมุ่งมั่นในการลงทุนในระยะยาวของบริษัทฯ ในเวียดนาม ซึ่งถือเป็นหนึ่งในประเทศที่มีการเติบโตและมีการลงทุนในโครงการโรงไฟฟ้าพลังงานหมุนเวียนทั้งพลังงานลมและพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์สูงที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งในโลก สอดคล้องกับกลยุทธ์ Greener & Smarter ของบ้านปูฯ ซึ่งมุ่งเน้นที่จะขยายพอร์ตพลังงานหมุนเวียน โดยมีมูลค่าการลงทุนจำนวน 66 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐฯ หรือเทียบเท่าประมาณ 2,065 ล้านบาท โดยการลงทุนในครั้งนี้มาจากกระแสเงินสดของบ้านปูฯ และ บ้านปู เพาเวอร์ในสัดส่วนที่เท่ากัน ทั้งนี้การลงทุนดังกล่าวอยู่ในระหว่างการปฏิบัติตามเงื่อนไขที่เกี่ยวข้องในสัญญา และการได้รับอนุมัติจากหน่วยงานราชการที่เกี่ยวข้อง โดยคาดว่าจะเสร็จสิ้นภายในไตรมาสที่ 4 ของปี 2563 โดยเป็นการลงทุนผ่านบริษัท BRE Singapore Pte. Ltd. (BRES) บริษัทย่อยที่บริษัท บ้านปู จำกัด (มหาชน) ถือหุ้นในอัตราร้อยละ 50 ผ่านบริษัท บ้านปู เน็กซ์ จำกัด (BanpuNEXT) มีราคารับซื้อไฟฟ้าแบบ Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) ที่ 8.5 เซ็นต์สหรัฐ ต่อกิโลวัตต์ชั่วโมงเป็นระยะเวลา 20 ปีตามสัญญาซื้อขายไฟฟ้ากับการไฟฟ้าเวียดนาม (Vietnam Electricity หรือ EVN)
โรงไฟฟ้าพลังงานลม El Wind Mui Dinh เปิดดำเนินการเชิงพาณิชย์ (COD) ตั้งแต่วันที่ 23 เมษายน 2562 มีกำลังการผลิตติดตั้ง 37.6 เมกะวัตต์ จากกังหันลม 16 ตัว แต่ละตัวมีกำลังการผลิต 2.35 เมกะวัตต์ กังหันลมได้รับการออกแบบและบำรุงรักษาโดยโดยบริษัท Enercon GmbH ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านไฟฟ้าพลังงานลมและผู้ผลิตกังหันลมจากประเทศเยอรมนี บ้านปูฯ ทำสัญญาผ่าน Enercon Partner Konzept (EPK) ซึ่งครอบคลุมการบำรุงรักษาเป็นระยะเวลา 20 ปี ซึ่งสัญญานี้จะเพิ่มเสถียรภาพในการดำเนินงานของโรงไฟฟ้าได้ในระยะยาว
โรงไฟฟ้าพลังงานลม El Wind Mui Dinh ตั้งอยู่ในจังหวัดนินห์ถ่วน บริเวณชายฝั่งทะเลภาคกลางตอนใต้ของเวียดนาม นอกจากสถานที่ตั้งซึ่งเป็นทำเลที่เหมาะสมเนื่องจากมีความเร็วและแรงของลมแล้ว นโยบายที่สนับสนุนการลงทุนของรัฐบาลเวียดนามยังเอื้อให้ทั้งผู้พัฒนาและนักลงทุนสามารถเข้ามาสร้างโอกาสในพื้นที่จังหวัดนี้ได้ จังหวัดนินห์ถ่วน จึงกลายเป็นทำเลที่น่าจับตามองสำหรับการลงทุนด้านพลังงานหมุนเวียนในประเทศเวียดนาม โดยปัจจุบัน กว่าร้อยละ 80 ของพลังงานหมุนเวียนภายในประเทศมีแหล่งการผลิตมาจากจังหวัดดังกล่าว
นางสมฤดี ชัยมงคล ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท บ้านปู จำกัด (มหาชน) กล่าวว่า “การลงทุนในโครงการโรงไฟฟ้าพลังงานลมในประเทศเวียดนามในครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นเครื่องพิสูจน์ความมุ่งมั่นในการดำเนินธุรกิจภายใต้กลยุทธ์ Greener & Smarter และนับเป็นก้าวสำคัญที่ช่วยขยายพอร์ตพลังงานหมุนเวียนให้กับบริษัทฯ รวมถึงเพิ่มรายได้และกระแสเงินสดจากพลังงานหมุนเวียนให้บ้านปูฯ ทั้งนี้ เวียดนามเป็นประเทศที่เศรษฐกิจเติบโตเร็วที่สุดประเทศหนึ่ง และเป็นหนึ่งในไม่กี่ประเทศที่ผลิตภัณฑ์มวลรวมในประเทศ (Gross Domestic Product: GDP) ยังคงขยายตัวสวนทางกับสถานการณ์ของโลก ความต้องการพลังงานที่เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง หมายถึงโอกาสในอนาคตที่เปิดกว้างสำหรับบ้านปูฯ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งเมื่อไม่นานมานี้ รัฐบาลเวียดนามได้ประกาศอนุมัติโครงการโรงไฟฟ้าพลังงานลมเพิ่มอีก 7 กิกะวัตต์ ส่งผลให้ประเทศเวียดนามจะมีกำลังการผลิตไฟฟ้าพลังงานลมรวมถึงเกือบ 12 กิกะวัตต์ภายในปี 2568”

กลุ่มบริษัทบ้านปูฯ ตั้งเป้าหมายที่จะสามารถผลิตไฟฟ้ารวม 6,100 เมกะวัตต์ภายในปี 2568 โดยเน้นการลงทุนในตลาดที่ความต้องการใช้พลังงานมีการเติบโต โดยมีบริษัทบ้านปูเน็กซ์มุ่งมั่นนำทัพในการพัฒนาพลังงานหมุนเวียน รวมถึงเทคโนโลยีด้านพลังงานต่อไป รวมโรงไฟฟ้าพลังงานลม El Wind Mui Dinh บ้านปูฯ จะมีกำลังผลิตรวมจากพลังงานหมุนเวียน 814 เมกะวัตต์
Banpu acquires new operating wind farm,
reiterating cashflow management and long-term presence in Vietnam
- The acquisition of an operating asset will help strengthen Banpu’s long-term presence in Vietnam where the company already has the Soc Trang wind project under development
- Banpu has a 20-year full-comprehensive agreement with Enercon Partner Konzept (EPK), a leading wind power company and turbine manufacturer from Germany
- The addition of the El Wind Mui Dinh Wind Farm will generate more revenue and cashflow from renewable energy business for Banpu
3 August 2020 – Banpu Public Company Limited, a leading integrated energy solutions company in Asia-Pacific, is acquiring an operating wind farm, the “El Wind Mui Dinh Wind Farm.” The acquisition marks another key milestone for the company’s long-term investment in Vietnam, which is one of the world’s fastest growing hub of wind and solar projects, in line with Banpu’s Greener & Smarter strategy to expand its renewable portfolio. The purchase consideration payable is approximately USD 66 million (equivalent to approximately THB 2,065 billion) subject to certain adjustments outlined in the Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA). The transaction remains subject to customary approvals and conditions precedents in accordance with the SPA with completion expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2020. The investment is made through BRE Singapore Pte. Ltd (BRES), an associate company, in which the Company holds 50% of share through Banpu NEXT Co. Ltd. (BanpuNEXT). The cash flow from operation of the El Wind Mui Dinh Wind Farm since 1 January 2020 belongs to BRES. For this project, Banpu secured a Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) of 0.085 USD/kWh for a period of 20 years of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Vietnam Electricity (EVN).
The El Wind Mui Dinh Wind Farm achieved its Commercial Operation Date (COD) since 23 April 2019 with a capacity of 37.6 MW. Its 16 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 2.35 MW, are designed and maintained by Enercon Partner Konzept (EPK), a leading wind power company and turbine manufacturer. Banpu has a 20-year full-comprehensive agreement with EPK. This ensures the operational reliability of the project in the long run.
The El Wind Mui Dinh Wind Farm is strategically located in Ninh Thuan Province, South Central Coast Region, Vietnam. Its geographical location ensures high wind speed together with the Vietnamese government’s supportive policy allows developers and investors to explore opportunities in the area. This results in the province becoming Vietnam’s hotspot for renewable projects with over 80% of the country’s renewable power capacity being generated from Ninh Thuan.

By 2025, the country is looking at a total wind power generation capacity of nearly 12 GW.”

The Banpu group aims to achieve the power generation capacity of 6,100 MW within 2025 by focusing on markets with growing demand of power consumption, with BanpuNEXT spearheading the development of renewable energy and energy technology. Inclusive of the El Wind Mui Dinh Wind Farm, the Company’s total committed capacity of renewable business will be reaching 919 MW.
