ดีแทค ไตรเน็ตชนะประมูลใบอนุญาตคลื่น 1800 MHz

19 สิงหาคม 2561 - บริษัท โทเทิ่ล แอ็คเซ็ส คอมมูนิเคชั่น จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือดีแทค รายงานว่าดีแทค ไตรเน็ตชนะประมูลคลื่น 1800 MHz จำนวน 1 ใบอนุญาตขนาด 2x5 MHz โดยชนะประมูลในราคา 12,511 ล้านบาท ซึ่งการประมูลจัดขึ้นโดย สำนักงาน กสทช เพื่อจัดสรรใบอนุญาตคลื่นความถี่เพื่อใช้ในกิจการโทรคมนาคม และได้ประกาศรายชื่อผู้ชนะใบอนุญาตอย่างเป็นทางการเรียบร้อย

นายลาร์ส นอร์ลิ่ง ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท โทเทิ่ล แอ็คเซ็ส คอมมูนิเคชั่น จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือดีแทค กล่าวว่า “คลื่น 1800 MHz ที่ได้จากการประมูลจะนำมาให้บริการอย่างต่อเนื่อง ทั้งในส่วนของลูกค้า 2G ที่มีฐานลูกค้าเป็นจำนวนมาก และรวมถึงการนำคลื่นความถี่ดังกล่าวมาใช้เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพโครงข่ายบริการ 4G ตอบสนองความต้องการการใช้งานอินเทอร์เน็ตบนมือถือที่เติบโตอย่างรวดเร็ว”

“ดีแทคต้องขอขอบคุณรัฐบาล และ กสทช. สำหรับการจัดประมูลคลื่นความถี่ที่ประสบความสำเร็จโดยคำนึงถึงข้อคิดเห็นอย่างกว้างขวาง ดีแทคมั่นใจเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่า กสทช. จะอนุมัติแผนมาตรการคุ้มครองลูกค้าใช้งานโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่ ซึ่งถือเป็นหน้าที่ต้องแสดงความรับผิดชอบร่วมกันระหว่างผู้ให้บริการ และ กสทช. เพื่อไม่ให้ซิมดับและมีผลกระทบต่อการใช้งานของลูกค้า หลังจากสิ้นสุดสัมปทาน” นายลาร์ส กล่าว

dtac TriNet wins license in 1800 MHz spectrum auction

August 19, 2018 - Total Access Communication Public Company Limited, or dtac, announced that dtac TriNet has won a license for 2x5MHz on the 1800 MHz band in the auctions held by the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) for spectrum licensing for telecommunications service. dtac’s auction win, at a price of 12.511 billion baht, was officially endorsed by the NBTC.

Mr. Lars Norling, CEO of Total Access Communication PLC or dtac, said: “Acquiring 1800 MHz spectrum as part of dtac’s current spectrum portfolio will not only allow dtac to maintain 2G service for a large base of customers but will also provide 4G network capacity to serve the massive growth of data usage.”

Mr. Norling added, “We would like to express our appreciation to the government and NBTC for the successful auction arrangement and the wide consultative process. dtac is also confident that NBTC, who has a joint responsibility with dtac, will provide consumers with a protection plan for uninterrupted services after the expiration of concession.”
