UNIQLO Unveils the World Premiere

“Ines de La Fressange 2015 Fall/Winter Collection”

The fourth consecutive seasonal collaboration

Bangkok, 2 September 2015 – UNIQLO has offered the world the first glimpse of its exclusive “Ines de La Fressange 2015 Fall/Winter” collection – the fourth consecutive seasonal collaboration with global fashion icon Ines de La Fressange and a follow-up to the previous season’s successful collection. The 2015 Fall/Winter range continues to embrace UNIQLO’s “LifeWear” concept, prioritizing comfort along with design, everyday practicality, and affordable prices in order to fulfill all lifestyle needs and blur the line between sportswear and casual apparels.

For this Fall/Winter 2015 collection, Ines has crafted a range of graceful, elegant looks for women worldwide with hues inspired by French nature and lifestyles – including colors like Forest Green and Vin Chaud as well as other vibrant tones. Employing materials like wool and various natural fabrics, Ines’ latest creations are set to add to the beauty of snowbound terrain under wintry skies with the sophisticated touch of femininity – a subject often explored by legendary motion picture directors Francois Truffaut and Jean-Luc Godard and a major influence on modern fashion and culture.

In addition to her legacy as a muse for countless world-class designers, Ines de La Fressange is a businesswoman, designer, and fashion icon with a unique sense of style and creativity. Her works seamlessly blend comfort and simplicity, informed with a dash of femininity, with smart, masculine tailoring to create Parisian Chic looks that have inspired women the world over.

“Together with Ines, we have created collections of the finest clothing for women worldwide,” said Takahiro Nishimura, Chief Operating Officer of UNIQLO (Thailand) Ltd., of the latest seasonal collaboration. “These ranges allow women to truly express their identities through the lens of Parisian fashion. Our goal above all is for each and every piece to lend its wearer a touch of distinctive, natural charm.”

Full range of elegant, meticulously-crafted designs

For this season, Ines combined nostalgia with fresh impressions, by creating an array of sweaters that accentuate femininity. She has revived 1950s and 1960s vintage ski sweaters through cable knitting, Nordic patterns, and her beloved fawn motif. Additionally, the Fall/Winter 2015 collection boasts items crafted from wool and various natural fabrics in shapes and colors that will liven up snowy, wintry climes. Ines has adopted the joyful creative freedom evident in the fashion of the 1950s as the inspiration behind items such as berets, short cut skirts, and dresses that emphasize the waist in the style of post-liberation France. The use of checkered patterns, meanwhile, brings to mind the tablecloths found in cozy, wood-paneled French cafés.

Meanwhile, Ines’ Fall/Winter 2015 jackets retain traditional tailoring while still offering modern comforts that all women want. One jacket resembles Harris Tweed yet employs amazingly soft wool. Another is a reversible jacket that is as light as a cardigan. New additions to the Fall/Winter 2015 collection are cropped length jackets that are easy to pair with this season's extensive range of skirts.

The collection’s many hues convey warmth and femininity against the backdrop of winter, adding deep green and red – inspired by France’s natural beauty and warm wines – to Ines’ signature indigo.

The exclusive “Ines de La Fressange 2015 Fall/Winter” collection is making its world premiere today at UNIQLO Emquartier. The range will be available at UNIQLO CentralWorld on September 4, 2015.
