กลุ่มธุรกิจ SCGC เดินหน้ารับรางวัลองค์กรต้นแบบด้านความปลอดภัย

และสถานประกอบการด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมยอดเยี่ยม

ยกระดับโรงงานเชิงนิเวศให้อุตสาหกรรมอยู่คู่ชุมชนอย่างยั่งยืน

กรุงเทพฯ : เมื่อเร็ว ๆ นี้  เอสซีจี เคมิคอลส์ หรือ SCGC ธุรกิจเคมีภัณฑ์ระดับภูมิภาคที่มุ่งเติบโตทางธุรกิจควบคู่กับการสร้างความยั่งยืน ตามแนวทาง ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) ได้รับโล่ประกาศเกียรติคุณองค์กรต้นแบบด้านความปลอดภัย จากงานความปลอดภัยและอาชีวอนามัยแห่งชาติ ครั้งที่ 35 ร่วมสร้างวัฒนธรรมไทยเชิงป้องกันสู่ความปลอดภัย อาชีวอนามัย และความผาสุกที่ยั่งยืน (Forward Culture of Prevention for Safety Thailand) จัดโดยกระทรวงแรงงาน นอกจากนี้ ยังได้รับรางวัลสถานประกอบการที่ปฏิบัติตามมาตรการในรายงานการประเมินผลกระทบสิ่งแวดล้อม ประจำปี 2566 หรือ EIA Monitoring Awards 2023 จัดโดยสำนักงานนโยบายและแผนทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม กระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม  ตอกย้ำการเป็นโรงงานเชิงนิเวศที่มุ่งยกระดับมาตรฐานการจัดการด้านความปลอดภัยและสิ่งแวดล้อม ควบคู่กับการดูแลชุมชน และความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคม เพื่อให้อุตสาหกรรมและชุมชนอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างยั่งยืน  

รางวัลองค์กรต้นแบบด้านความปลอดภัย (Zero Accident Campaign 2023) โดยบริษัทในกลุ่มธุรกิจ SCGC ได้แก่ บริษัท ระยองโอเลฟินส์ จำกัด (ROC) และบริษัท มาบตาพุดโอเลฟินส์ จำกัด (MOC) รับโล่ประกาศเกียรติคุณในกิจกรรมการรณรงค์ลดสถิติอุบัติเหตุจากการทำงานให้เป็นศูนย์ ประจำปี 2566 (Zero Accident Campaign 2023) ระดับแพลตินัม ซึ่งเป็นระดับสูงสุด ต่อเนื่องเป็นปีที่ 9 จากสถาบันส่งเสริมความปลอดภัย อาชีวอนามัย และสภาพแวดล้อมในการทำงาน (องค์การมหาชน) กระทรวงแรงงาน โดยมีเกณฑ์การพิจารณาจากสถานประกอบการที่สามารถรักษาชั่วโมงการทำงานต่อเนื่องโดยไม่เกิดอุบัติเหตุถึงขั้นหยุดงาน ไม่ถูกดำเนินคดีด้านความปลอดภัย ไม่มีลูกจ้างประสบอันตรายถึงขั้นเสียชีวิตหรือทุพพลภาพ ในช่วงเวลา 2 ปี ไม่มีอุบัติเหตุจากการทำงานถึงขั้นหยุดงานเกิน 3 วัน อีกทั้งยังเป็นสถานประกอบกิจการที่เป็นต้นแบบด้านการบริหารจัดการ มีระบบมาตรฐานสากล และเป็นองค์กรต้นแบบด้านความปลอดภัยฯ

รางวัลสถานประกอบการด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม (EIA Monitoring Awards 2023) โดยบริษัทในกลุ่มธุรกิจ SCGC ได้แก่ บริษัท มาบตาพุดโอเลฟินส์ จำกัด และ บริษัท ไทย เอ็มเอ็มเอ จำกัด  รับรางวัลสถานประกอบการที่ปฏิบัติตามมาตรการในรายงานการประเมินผลกระทบสิ่งแวดล้อม ประจำปี 2566 หรือ EIA Monitoring Awards 2023 ระดับยอดเยี่ยม และดีเด่น (ตามลำดับ) ประเภทอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมีที่มีการจัดการและรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อมตามมาตรการของ EIA จากสำนักงานนโยบายและแผนทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม กระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมและสร้างแรงจูงใจให้สถานประกอบการเห็นความสำคัญถึงการป้องกัน และติดตามตรวจสอบผลกระทบด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมตามมาตรการที่กำหนดไว้ในรายงานการประเมินผลกระทบสิ่งแวดล้อม หรือ EIA เพื่อให้สถานประกอบการได้ยกระดับและพัฒนากลไกการจัดการสิ่งแวดล้อมของตนเอง เป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีให้แก่สถานประกอบการอื่น ๆ

SCGC Subsidiaries Recognized for Outstanding Safety and Environmental Workplace Awards, Elevating Eco-Factory Model to Foster Sustainable Community Coexistence

Bangkok: SCG Chemicals, or SCGC, a regional market leader in the chemical business focusing on business growth and sustainability under the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) framework, has recently received the Excellence Award for Safety at Work the THAILAND SAFE @ WORK #35 event. Organized by the Ministry of Labour, the event aims to foster a forward culture of prevention in for safety in Thailand in the areas of safety and occupational health, as well as sustainable well-being. SCGC also earned the EIA Monitoring Awards 2023 for their performance in environmental impact assessment reporting for the year 2023. This award was presented by the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. These awards underscore the company's commitment to being an eco-friendly operation, aiming to elevate safety and environmental management standards. This is in addition to their focus on community care and social responsibility, all of which contribute to fostering a sustainable coexistence between industry and the community.

The Zero Accident Campaign 2023 award was presented to SCGC's subsidiaries, namely Rayong Olefins Company Limited (ROC) and Map Ta Phut Olefins Company Limited (MOC). They were recognized for their efforts to reduce work-related accidents to zero in 2023, achieving the platinum level—the highest tier—for the ninth consecutive year. The awards were given by the Thailand Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (Public Organization) under the Ministry of Labour. Criteria for the award include maintaining uninterrupted work hours without work-stoppage incidents, no legal actions related to safety issues, zero incidents of employees experiencing fatal or crippling injuries over a two-year period, and zero work-related stoppages lasting more than three days. Additionally, both companies are recognized for being exemplary in management practices, adhering to international standard systems, and serving as role models in safety.

The EIA Monitoring Awards 2023 were presented to Map Ta Phut Olefins Company Limited and Thai MMA Company Limited, both subsidiaries of SCGC, for their outstanding and excellent performance (respectively) in environmental impact assessment reporting for the year 2023 in the petrochemical industry category. These awards, given by the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, honor the companies' efforts in environmental management and maintenance. The awards aim to encourage and motivate companies to recognize the importance of preventing and monitoring environmental impacts, as specified in the environmental impact assessment (EIA) reports, thereby elevating their environmental management mechanisms and setting a positive example for other companies.
