เล็งจ่ายปันผลอีกหุ้นละ 1.80 บาท รวมทั้งปี 63 เป็นหุ้นละ 3 บาท
บริษัท ทุนธนชาต จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ TCAP เปิดเผยผลการดำเนินงานปี 2563 มีกำไรสุทธิที่เป็นส่วนของบริษัทฯ จำนวน 6,669 ล้านบาท พร้อมมีมติเสนอผู้ถือหุ้นจ่ายปันผลสำหรับผลการดำเนินงานปี 2563 ในอัตราหุ้นละ 3 บาท
นายสมเจตน์ หมู่ศิริเลิศ กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัท ทุนธนชาต จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ TCAP “กล่าวว่า ในปี 2563 TCAP และบริษัทย่อยมีกำไรสุทธิตามงบการเงินรวมจำนวน 7,848 ล้านบาท ซึ่งประกอบไปด้วยกำไรสุทธิของบริษัทย่อยต่าง ๆ จำนวน 5,962 ล้านบาท และส่วนแบ่งกำไรจากเงินลงทุนในบริษัทร่วม จำนวน 2,154 ล้านบาท ส่งผลให้กำไรสุทธิส่วนที่เป็นของบริษัทฯ ในปีนี้ มีจำนวน 6,669 ล้านบาท ลดลง 38.3% จากปีก่อน โดยสาเหตุหลักที่ทำให้กำไรปีนี้ปรับตัวลดลง เกิดจากภาวะเศรษฐกิจไทยที่หดตัวลงอย่างรุนแรง จากการแพร่ระบาดของเชื้อไวรัส COVID-19 ประกอบกับที่ปีก่อน TCAP มีกำไรพิเศษจากการปรับโครงสร้างธุรกิจ แต่อย่างไรก็ตาม บริษัทลูกที่สำคัญของ TCAP ทั้ง ราชธานีลิสซิ่ง (THANI) ธนชาต ประกันภัย (TNI) และ บล. ธนชาต (TNS) ยังมีผลการดำเนินงานใน 2563 อยู่ในเกณฑ์ที่ดี
ถึงแม้ว่ากำไรสุทธิในปี 2563 ของ TCAP จะปรับลดลง โดยมีสาเหตุหลักมาจากปัจจัยภายนอก เนื่องมาจากการระบาดของ COVID-19 ซึ่งส่งผลกระทบเป็นวงกว้างต่อทุกภาคธุรกิจ แต่คณะกรรมการและฝ่ายจัดการยังคงมีความมั่นใจว่าฐานะทางการเงินของบริษัทมีความแข็งแกร่งเป็นอย่างมาก คณะกรรมการจึงมีมติให้เสนอที่ประชุมผู้ถือหุ้นอนุมัติการจ่ายเงินปันผลจากผลการดำเนินงานประจำปี 2563 ในอัตราหุ้นละ 3.00 บาท โดยแบ่งเป็น เงินปันผลระหว่างกาลหุ้นละ 1.20 บาท ซึ่งคณะกรรมการบริษัทฯ ได้อนุมัติและจ่ายไปแล้ว เมื่อวันที่ 27 สิงหาคม 2563 คงเหลือเงินปันผลที่ TCAP จะต้องจ่ายอีกในอัตราหุ้นละ 1.80 บาท รวมเป็นจำนวน 3.00 บาทต่อหุ้น ซึ่งเป็นอัตราที่เท่ากับเงินปันผลของปีก่อนที่ไม่รวมเงินปันผลพิเศษ”

Thanachart Capital Public Company Limited (TCAP) reports that net profit attributable to the Company in 2020 amounts to 6,669 million baht. In this connection, the Board of Directors adopts a resolution proposing to shareholders a dividend payment of 3 baht per share for 2020 performance.
Mr. Somjate Moosirilert, Chief Executive Officer of Thanachart Capital Public Company Limited (TCAP), said, “2020 net profit of TCAP and its subsidiaries, based on the financial statements, was 7.848 million baht. This consisted of net profit worth 5,962 million baht which belonged to its subsidiaries and share of profit worth 2,154 million baht from its investments in associated companies. As a result, net profit attributable to the Company amounted to 6,669 million baht, down 38.3 percent from the prior year. This year’s profit decline was mainly due to the sharp contraction of the Thai economy as a result of Covid-19 transmission. Moreover, in the prior year, TCAP made a special one-time gain from business restructuring. However, 2020 performance of TCAP’s key subsidiaries including Ratchthani Leasing (THANI), Thanachart Insurance (TNI) and Thanachart Securities (TNS) remained quite strong.”
“Although TCAP’s 2020 net profit decreases mainly due to the external factor namely Covid-19 transmission which has wide-ranging impacts on all business sectors, the Board of Directors and the management are confident that the Company’s financial position is very strong. As a result, the Board of Directors has adopted a resolution proposing to shareholders a dividend payment at a rate of 3.00 baht per share for 2020 performance. Taking into account the interim dividend payment of 1.20 baht per share approved by the Board of Directors and paid on 27 August 2020 as well as the remaining dividend to be paid by TCAP at the rate of 1.80 baht per share, the total dividend payment will be 3.00 baht per share, which is equal to the prior year’s total dividend payment (excluding the special dividend payment),” said Mr. Somjate.
